The Koori Kids Playgroup will provide a valuable addition to the many services SSFS currently offers to Aboriginal children and families in our community. These services include Aboriginal family worker program and our Southern Sydney Womens Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service Aboriginal Specialist worker program. These programs seek to promote good health and emotional well being for Indigenous families, as well as provide support for those who may be facing some difficulties in family life – including domestic and family violence.
“We are delighted to be able to provide this important service for Aboriginal children and families. Attendance to the playgroup provides a platform for early learning as children transition to early childhood education and school” SSFS CEO, Diane Manns.
Families can access more information around any of our other services for Aboriginal families, including the Koori Kids Playgroup, by contacting one of our Aboriginal Family Workers on 9528 2933 (ext. 118).
