EDYS Join the SSFS Family

Sutherland Shire Family Services was recently featured in a great piece by The Leader about Engadine District Youth Service (EDYS) joining the SSFS family. SSFS are extending our services through welcoming the team at EDYS. The relocation of some of our projects to the Engadine site enables an extension of our existing youth and family project and our Building Resilience in Children project as well as maintaining some of the great initiatives EDYS has been providing in the community over the years.

Working from this site, ensures that EDYS continue to provide the excellent service to youth and the community in the Engadine area. Through relocating our youth and family worker program, SSFS is ensuring the expansion of our services to the community. The Engadine site will continue to provide a free recording studio for young musicians, the RAGE school program and afternoon drop in service on Wednesday to Friday afternoons (3-6pm) to the local youth.

We are excited about this addition to our service as it will enable us to increase service delivery and ensure more children, young people and families are supported in our community.

“It enables us to increase service delivery to the Engadine and surrounding areas for children, young people and families… We will now be able to offer a more present and proactive presence within the Engadine community.”

As school holidays are upon us, our EDYS staff are underway with a fun-filled holiday program. They are also busy preparing for the term ahead. You can read more about our services for youth by checking out our EDYS page, or head to the EDYS website for information about the holiday program.
